Inspired to draw two trees; one as if it were on fire due to a tree with bright red leaves I saw during the winter, and the other growing on a huge flower pot due to something similar I saw on the street.

Kitchen
A kitchen that was drawn to experiment more with isometric perspectives (in which horizontal lines are raised 30 degrees and objects are all at the same scale regardless of distance) with lots of small details.
Halftone Screenprints
For my final project in my printmaking class, I decided to go for a more abstract version of tree leaves with branches and birds. Since the leaves had different degrees of intensity, they needed to be processed in Photoshop as halftones first (images made up of smaller dots) and then printed on clear film. Once I started the screen-printing process, things turned out quite differently yet pleasing from what I imagined. Mixing the variety of colors for blending was fun, and the halftone effect turned out to make for quite interesting and colorful results.
The top left image is my original vision drawn in Procreate in three separate layers, while the rest are my favorite screen-prints of the halftones.
Color Screenprint
My second attempt at screenprinting, which I wanted it to look like a design that one would see on a graphic t-shirt with lots of small details. Original Procreate version on left and color screenprint version on right.
Block Print
As my first attempt at cutting a linoleum block, I enjoyed creating a cozy scene, although printing turned out to be more difficult than anticipated. My favorite part is the wooden window shelf, particularly because the parts I had carved out got unintentionally printed and which I ended up liking better.
Abstract Monotype Prints
The first (subtractive monotype) image was inspired by a flower, second (additive monotype) was inspired by a steaming drink, and the last one (additive monotype) was meant to mimic a dancing person, with lots of movement. My favorite is the last one!
Tea Monotype Prints
For a monotype suite of four prints (all additive) I thought to depict different tea/drink cultures. There is one depicting a Mexican drink cup (taza de barro, more commonly used for hot chocolate or coffee), one depicting a more English/Western-inspired teacup, a Turkish teacup (ince belli), and lastly a Chinese/East Asian-inspired teacup. The steam was particularly fun to create, and I love how the pouring liquids came out.
Wedding
I had the honor of designing some wedding details for someone, including a map, some wedding signs, and several designs for table numbers, which have been gathered here and removed of personal details. They contain a lot of Mexican elements since it took place in Mexico. This had to go through multiple revisions, and creating the map was probably the most difficult part.
Good Morning
I love drawing backgrounds with lots of tiny details, and thought of creating a cozy bedroom. Lots of objects are based on things I had growing up (including the dog).
Tiny Fairy House
This drawing was inspired by these hanging lanterns that I’ve seen often around the northern part of my college campus, and making it into a fairy house was more of a spur-of-the-moment thing.
